Solomon Parker April 2018
Solomon Parker is widely known and respected for his treatment-free beekeeping philosophy and techniques. He also conceptualized and developed a strategy he calls “Expansion Model Beekeeping”, which is an effective treatment-free beekeeping technique that takes the long view. The Expansion Model involves using smaller hives or nucleus hives (nucs) to build multiple colonies of bees instead of one or two large colonies. For details please visit his webpage.
Mr. Parker also hosts The Treatment-Free Beekeeping Podcast. He has been keeping bees treatment-free since he started in 2003 and he lives in Medford, Oregon where he was born and raised, with his wife and children and bees. So, if you want to learn more about treatment-free beekeeping, this our regional expert! This is your chance to bring him your specific questions and meet him in person!
