Bee School 2019

Registration is closed for this event

If you're interested in bees and want to learn more about how to become a backyard beekeeper, this Bee School seminar will be a great tool to help you get started. Experienced beekeepers and mentors from the Portland Urban Beekeepers club will be providing instruction and training, and will help you through the common questions and concerns of a beginner beekeeper. How much space do you need? What kinds of equipment? How much will it cost? What can you expect your first year? How and where do you get bees? And so much more!

Bee School will be held in the Community Room at McMenamins Kennedy School.

Click the PUB Bee School button on this page to begin registration.

In addition to this 6-hour class, you'll also get to attend one of the Field Days in April/May at the club apiary. Dates will be decided when we know the final count of students. When you come to the Feb 10th class you can sign up for one of the Field Days at no additional cost.

Registration for this event is $40/person. This is the best deal available in the area. You get 6 hours of classroom instruction plus 2 hours in the field. All proceeds go to cover costs and help support the other educational goals of the Portland Urban Beekeepers.
